Drummy tiles have a hollow sound and are a result of a poor bond between the tile and the substrate or voids in the tilers' adhesive. Drummy tiles not only sound annoying but also expose the area further damage and cracking. If your tiles sound hollow then chances are they will crack and grout will fall out at some stage. This can be problematic as replacing tiles is not only costly but finding a perfect match can be near impossible for older tiles.
The process involves:
  • Identifying and marking out the perimeter of the void
  • Drilling several small holes throughout the affected area
  • We then pressure inject the void with a flowing epoxy, completely filling the void
  • The holes are then colour matched and filled
  • The entire process is completely dust and mess free and at a fraction of the cost of replacing the affected area
